pulau perhentian: tales from the witneses

Pulau Perhentian is located in the South China Sea 21 km from the coast of Kuala Besut, Terengganut. For hundred of years ago this untouchable god gift is been habitat for a billion marine spices, cool trans clear water and beautiful corals.. Cant imagine what I'm hired from a pakcik while we sitting for subuh prayer in the old surau in k.besut. After that I'm realized in the front roof of surau stated the year of 1951, clearly that pokcik and this old surau been there since before merdeka. Therefore this entrance i will be narrated the story basis from our diving trip yet in the perspective of the pokcik who been witness the evolution of pulau perhentian."Tourism has played a big" a good and a bad.. , Our family came from pahang, my father who was a sailor, im realized k.besut was a small fishing village, ( this pokcik speaking english ) after few years people start coming, and they start build the jetty, resort, shop etc.. Marene life, who care? They are lot's of them, million..Billion.. Sea creature.. Event a giant Malta,kima, kerapu, turtle, inface whale are here!, and when after disaster strike than they realized perhentian island is not like what they discover before, thing goes better after perhentian been restrict under Malaysia marine park. Im sure this pokcik know lots about tells behind the scene, but things happen, preventages act already taken, we just can wait but i can tell you "once wave splash, ones beach spaces.., " there is noway we could turn the time, what left?, What still there?, While they lives, we should appreciate it, be with them before they disapear forever! , you should dive to feel it... do the way we do..scubaddy, scubba with buddy, scubaddy scuba do we do....

Trip to Pulau Lang Tengah

eventually, this is not a totally scuba trip, but for the intro just to add our group holiday somewhere in July 2007. Scuba? yes we do.. all of us drown including our big man Mr BOB, size does matter huh? recoding to my dive log, we make 3 fun dive, two time from dive center and from boat. they were have so much fun, even this is there first dive. Clear visibility about 5-10 m, smooth underwater current and awesome marine life. the coral so beautiful but sadly I'm not carrying any underwater camera that time, the guys diving and the girl scrambling all day long...
